The Pawikan Project is a grassroots sea turtle conservation project founded in the Province of Zambales, one of the Philippines; primary sea turtle nesting areas and the entire coastline is a sea turtle conservation zone.
Our project focuses on engaging both local communities and tourists, raising awarness on sea turtle conservation-and most importantly, spreading the message of environmental stewardship.
Coral Rescue is a coral reef restoration in Iba, Zambales. The project uses an innovative approach that provides for rapid and scalable coral reef restoration.
We collect data on a monthly basis and UP-Marine Science Institute will formally record and publish results. The project is designed to be a showcase for coral restoration around the Philippines.
